Moving Day!

This is a big week for the Mirmiran family as we move from Baltimore to Omaha.  We're all a bit nostalgic as we prepare for the upcoming move:  so much has happened for us here in Maryland and it's a bit strange to be leaving.  But the three of us are very excited for the new chapter in our family's life.  The movers are here packing today and Joey has been helping.  He likes pulling things out of the boxes as they get packed.  Tomorrow the movers  will load our things onto the moving truck and head for Omaha.  The three of us fly out on Wednesday morning, just in time for Joey to celebrate his first Fourth of July!  We will miss all of our amazing friends in this part of the world and can't wait to come back and visit everyone.

Father's Day: Three Generations!

Joey's dad is graduating from his residency program and Joey's grandparents are here celebrating.  Today we recognized Father's Day with three generations of Mirmiran men.  Happy Father's Day!

A Chat...

Joey's friend, Zach and his parents are visiting Baltimore for a wedding this weekend.  Joey and Zach enjoyed a play date this morning.  They were cute standing around the coffee table having a chat.  After our play date we went to lunch and Zach ate a lemon wedge.  He was a little startled!  Zach is a very sweet little boy and Joey loved meeting him.

I Want to Walk Already!

Joey's Box

Joey has a new favorite toy:  a plastic storage bin that is just his size.  The box has provided lots of entertainment so far.  Joey enjoys pounding on the lid, pulling up on the box, using it as a walker, and pushing it all around the apartment.  He's a very helpful packing assistant.

Preppy Play Date

Joey and Zachary had a play date this afternoon.  They both looked stylish in their polo shirts.

Baby Bro-mance

At dinner tonight, Joey met a new buddy, fellow eight-month old, Emmitt. Joey and Emmitt became fast friends sharing toys, engaging in clapping and spitting contests, and amusing the other diners.  They also enjoyed pulling each other's hair...

Music Class Graduation!

Joey's final session of "Music Together" was this morning. He loved the class and will miss his friends and the teacher, Miss Susan. What a fun activity!
