Thank You Nana and Granddad!

You may have noticed that Joey is awake and alert in most of his pictures. He's like that for a good part of the day and is usually happy and attentive. However, he does have his fussy moments, usually in the evenings when Mom and Dad are attempting to eat dinner.  Thankfully Joey's great-grandparents gave him this swing and it has already saved us on many evenings!

Playtime

Joey has been becoming more interested in toys lately.  He has an activity mat that he especially enjoys with a mirror in the center.  He loves looking at himself!

Joey's Video Debut

Here is Joey's video debut on the blog!  The quality isn't great and it's dark, but at least you can see Joey in action and his great smile.  We'll keep practicing and try more soon.

New Friends

Joey and the family went to dinner with some of our friends from Mommy's old job and Joey was a star!  He was such a good boy and charmed the whole restaurant.

Ready for School

Joey was very excited to attend our new moms/new babies class this morning.

One Month Birthday!

We can't believe Joe arrived a month ago today!

Birthday Party

Joey attended his first birthday party today!  His friend Addison turned one and we all celebrated with her today at her beautiful new home.  Joe was a little fussy toward the end of the party and Daddy was a pro at calming him down (even though that meant Joe ended up in a precarious position that made Mommy slightly nervous).

So Official

Joey received his dental insurance card in the mail yesterday.  Although we can't imagine he'll be using it for some time, we thought it was cute.  He's growing up so fast!

First Smiles!

Joey woke up this morning after a fairly good night's sleep and has been smiling!  He smiled at me continuously while he was getting dressed!  I tried to capture a couple of his new smiles on camera, but it was difficult.  You get the idea though and I'm sure we'll see more soon!

Joe seemed to be looking extra grown-up this morning wearing an outfit Jonda and Rachel gave him.  It looked so big on the hanger but it actually fits him!  He is a growing boy!

A Busy Weekend

Joey was very busy this weekend.  This picture of Joey and Mommy was taken on Saturday night when the three of us went to dinner at a restaurant for the first time.  Joey behaved himself and was even lucky enough to see fireworks in celebration of Michael Phelps!  Joey also made his debut this weekend at the grocery store, at our favorite pizza place, Iggie's, and at dinner with our friends Dori, Seth, and Zach!  The weather was fabulous all weekend and several miles were logged on the stroller.  A win by the Huskers would have made it even better, but things can't always be perfect!
