First Tooth!

Joey's first tooth came in this morning!  The bottom right tooth erupted sometime early today. It's still tiny, but it's adorable!

Lunch Date

Joey enjoyed a lunch date today with our good friend, Cori.  He was quite naughty during lunch:  lots of spitting and shrieking.  He also repeatedly frightened an eight-month old dining next to us, bringing that baby to tears.  Mommy definitely enjoyed the visit and is hoping that Joey's behavior might have been related to teething issues.  It looks like a tooth is going to pop up any day now and he seems uncomfortable.  At any rate, we loved seeing Cori and Joey thanks her for his fun new treats!

Summer, already?!?

Baltimore has been experiencing a heat wave with a string of 90 degree days.  Joey's not sure if he's ready for summer.

Deciding...

The Mirmiran family had lunch today with our friends, Sarah and Sal at one of Mommy's favorite DC restaurants, Cactus Cantina.  Joey spent a little time perusing the menu and thinking about what he'd like to order.  He loved Sarah!

Turtle-Giraffe Love

Joey is growing pretty attached to his giraffe, Sophie.  She comes everywhere with us.  Today, on our way back from swimming class, he fell asleep in the stroller holding Sophie's little foot.

Spring Break Rocks!

Joey doesn't have music class today. His teacher said it's spring break which is interesting since he had a week off for Easter/Passover just two weeks ago. Anyway, Joey is quite pleased with himself this morning and seems to think he's on spring break in South Padre or Cancun or something. He's having fun playing with his new toy giraffe, Sophie.

Slumber Party!

Our friends Todd and Jackie and their nine-month old son, Quinn spent the night with us last night when they were visiting Maryland from New Jersey. Quinn and Joey had a blast sharing toys, watching Barney and engaging in a spitting competition.

Evening Out

It's a beautiful evening in Baltimore and the Mirmiran family went for a fun outing.  Mom got a new haircut and Dad enjoyed carrying Joey in the Baby Bjorn along the Inner Harbor.

Getting Ready for Summer

Joey was trying on his summer line of accessories this morning. He loves his shades--he smiled while he was wearing them and did not want to take them off. Bring on the sun!

Joey would like to wish his great aunt, and regular blog reader, Aunt Heather, a very happy birthday!  He would also like to say happy birthday to his friend, Zach's mom Jen!

Seven Months Old Today!

Nanny and Poppy gave Joey a special Easter book and Joey enjoyed hearing it read by his dad this morning.

Splish-Splash

Joey had his first swim lesson today. Both Mom and Dad also attended and it was lots of fun for everyone. Joey was like a fish and the teacher was very impressed with him as he seemed just to know what to do--excellent kicking and splashing. She said he was quite advanced for his age. And Joey loved going under water--he had a great time in the pool!

I Have a New Cousin and I Love Him!!!

Joey just returned from Nashville where he met his new cousin, Jac.  Here are some highlights and Joey's thoughts from the trip...

This Could Be Fun...

I wasn't sure what to think at first, but then I realized how much fun I could have with a new little cousin.  I can teach him lots of tricks and we can get into lots of trouble together.  Hmm...

Fun in the Park!

I took a break from hanging with my cousin for a big boy adventure to the park. I enjoyed a nice spring day and had a great time playing on the swings...

Ice Cream!

And as a special treat, Nanny and Poppy took me to Ben & Jerry's where I tried ice cream for the first time.  I wasn't too sure about it.  Maybe because they got me vanilla and I hear there are more exciting flavors out there...
